HISTORY
Lightning Storm is a very curious case when it comes to backstories. He has been in possession of a series of School of Thunder spellbooks for most of his life, though he never fully understood their meaning, for nopony in Ponyville could ever identify them, or where they came from.
It wasn't until he had a chance encounter with Mystical Melody and Burning Embers, and helped them fight off an evil incarnation, that he learned the truth about his supposed "Mystery Origin Books", and learned that he, too, was a Seer, much like them. Seeing the terrible evil they were up against, and wanting to learn more about this island his books had come from, he decided to join in on their adventure.
It wasn't by pure chance that he met the love of his life in the form of young Nature Hills right before the Grand Galloping Gala ( who also saved his life from the likes of Strange Tidings ). The two hit it off right away, and their affection for one another would only continue to grow as the adventure, which she joined in on, continued.
Following the end of their quest, he was granted the title of royal ambassador for Maradice Isle, although he still enjoys surfing on lightning bolts from time to time, sometimes with Nature Hills in tow.
He and Nature Hills both share the same house and bed in Saddleville, which has led many to believe that they're a married couple.
His time with Nature Hills in Haywaii gave them both time to fully learn and understand about each other, and many firmly believe that they're not far from having their firstborn child.
Following his and Nature Hills vacation in Haywaii, his trident began having strange power surges that even he couldn't understand. Following the trail, he was eventually lead to Seaquestria, where he did battle with a terrible kraken monster inside of a cave. Upon defeating this monster, he was granted the power of his ancestor Lightning Strike, changing his appearance and cutie mark, boosting his magical power dramatically, and even altering the shape of his trident, increasing it's power.
In his humble opinion: "Life couldn't be better."
DESCRIPTION
Lightning Storm's dark purple coat, accompanied by his purple and yellow mane and tail design, helps him stand out from his fellow Seers. His bright yellow lightning bolt cutie mark is another key defining feature.
He carries with him a large three-pronged trident, which he usually has strapped to his back.
After he earned the power of his ancestor, his physical appearance and cutie mark have changed, although he is much the same stallion as he was before.
PERSONALITY
He is very happy-go-lucky and outgoing by nature, and his carefree spirit cause many to wonder if he's fit for the role of Maradice Ambassador. Although he doesn't look the part, he is always able to get the job done.
When his friends are in danger, his attitude changes to one of a cold-hearted warrior who will do everything in his power to bring down his foe.
TRAITS
As the Thunder Seer, Storm has immense control over the powers of lightning and water, allowing him to make increasingly powerful attacks quickly and efficiently.
He is able to summon large lightning bolts to surf around with, both through the air and in the water.
Sadly, being a Thunder Pony, he is naturally weak to Mystery magic ( much like Aquatic Showers ). His physical health, defense, and magic resistance are rather poor as well, usually requiring him to hide behind a Frost Pony for protection.

STRENGTHS
His Thunder Magic is capable of dealing massive damage quickly and effectively
He has many spells that stuns the enemy, preventing them from fleeing or attacking back
He is able to fly around by surfing on a large lightning bolt
His trident can break apart into multiple pieces to strike the enemy multiple times at once
He has the highest agility out of the Seers
WEAKNESSES
He is naturally weak to Mystery magic
His physical health, defense and magical resistance is very lackluster compared to his companions
He can fall off of his lightning bolts
His attacks are very inaccurate, and frequently miss their target
Will often struggle against Thunder enemies who are resistant to his spells ( though Magic Prisms can offset this to an extent )
CUTIE MARK MEANING
His cutie mark is a bright yellow lightning bolt, indicating his status as the Thunder Seer, along with the incredible control he has over lightning and water.
His cutie mark changed following an event in Seaquestria, although it's meaning has stayed the same.
RELATIONSHIPS
MYSTICAL MELODY: He never knew exactly what he was until he met both Mystical Melody and Burning Embers in Ponyville one day, a day that would change his life forever. He considers her both a great friend and an excellent leader, capable of leading them to victory against even the most vile of villains. He serves under her wing as the Royal Ambassador of Maradice Isle.
BURNING EMBERS: He won't lie when he says that he considers Burning Embers an excellent friend. He enjoys fighting by Embers side, and isn't afraid to challenge him to a spar every once in a while. The two work surprisingly well together, capable of using their combined strength to bring down even the strongest of foes.
NATURE HILLS: If somepony says that Storm doesn't enjoy Nature's company, they're lying right out of their flank. Storm loves Nature with all his heart, and even lives with her under the same roof. He isn't afraid to slip her a kiss every so often and never shy's away from her. Many consider them a couple, a term he uses perfectly well to describe their relationship.
AUTUMN SHINE: Although he hasn't gotten to know Autumn Shine on the same level as Melody, he does think it's nice to have an excited little filly around to amuse them or even help out with enemies in battle. He sees much potential in her as a Frost Pony.
AQUATIC SHOWERS: Despite Aquatic's age, Storm sees much potential in her as a Thunder Pony, much like himself. He looks forward to the day when she enrolls into HoovenStrum, so he can teach her everything he knows about Thunder magic.
